The Fiber35 Diet Phases
The Fiber35 Diet offers a personalized solution tailored to your specific weight
loss goal. A gradual 3-phase approach takes the stress out of dieting and lets you
progress at your own pace from a period of accelerated weight loss to a lifetime
of healthy weight maintenance. In each phase, it is essential to consume at least
35 grams of fiber every day.
Phase One is a period of accelerated weight loss. During this phase,
you will reduce the amount of calories you consume by up to 1,000 calories per day,
but you should not consumer fewer than 1,200 calories each day. In Phase One you
will eat 5 to 6 times daily to maintain a healthy metabolism (the rate at which
your body naturally burns calories). Although Phase One is the most restrictive
phase of the diet, don't give up hope -- it is during this phase that you will lose
the most weight! Phase One can last from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your personal
weight loss goal.
Phase Two is a period of moderate weight loss. During this phase,
you will reduce the amount of calories you eat by up to 500 calories while continuing
to eat 5 to 6 times daily. As in Phase One, do not consume fewer than 1,200 calories
each day. Phase Two has no definite end point, and you may stay in this phase for
as long as necessary to reach your desired weight.
Phase Three is lifetime weight maintenance. Once you have reached
Phase Three, you will have attained your weight loss goal. Congratulations -- The
Fiber35 Diet is now a way of life! At this point, you will continue to eat 5 to
6 times daily and incorporate at least 35 grams of fiber into your daily diet. In
Phase Three, you will begin to gradually increase your caloric intake and add more
meals into your diet.
