juiceThe Juice, the Whole Juice, and Nothing but the Juice

Homemade juices are an excellent source of vitamins, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates and enzymes. These essential nutrients can help restore and maintain your health, increase your energy, and help you recover from the daily assault by environmental toxins. Store-bought juices, however, are often pasteurized (a heating process that destroys their enzymes and other nutrients) and do not offer the same benefits.

In addition to supporting digestion, the enzymes contained in fresh juices are catalysts employed in every cell during the complex processes of metabolism. Without enzymes, these life processes cease. Nourishing and cleansing your internal organs with juice drinks is a wonderful way to nurture your body and help ensure optimum health.

There are many juicer appliances out on the market if you'd like to make your own juices. You might also want to visit your local natural health and foods store; many of them have juice bars.
